THE FREEDOM FLOTILLA HAS BEEN ATTACKED BY ISRAELI MILITARY FORCES. Al Jazeera reports 16 killed. Turkish TV are reporting at least 16 dead and over 60 injured.

The Israeli Army Radio said soldiers opened fire “after confronting those on board carrying sharp objects”.
Free Gaza Movement, the organisers of the flotilla, however, said the troops opened fire as soon as they stormed the ships.

It is significant that Jordanian Prince El Hassan bin Talal, sovereign of a country that has a peace treaty with the hafrada regime, opined in an Al Jazeera op-ed: “perhaps Israel is seeking total isolation to justify continued violence leading to further pre-emptive strikes and a regional war.”
