Russell Tribunal for Palestine Launch: Video

Following an appeal from Ken Coates, Nurit Peled, and Leila Shahid, and with the support of over a hundred international personages, the Russell Tribunal on Palestine was recently established. The Tribunal is a civic initiative promoting international law as the core element of the Israeli-Palestinian issue.  Here are the video clips from the press conference launching the Tribunal, featuring the following speakers in English: Ken Loach, Ken Coates, Nurit Peled, and Paul Laverty and speaking in French: Jean Ziegler, Stéphane Hessel, Leila Shahid and Pierre Galand.

In fact violence by state actors as well as by non state actors is highly deplorable. But when powerfull states exploit the weakers, adopt corrupt practices to fulfill their infinite desire of being supreme power. When the people at the whelm of affairs turn to be murdrer just to hide thier nefariuos acts, people are hopeless and go for rampage. No doubt violence is counter productive but who is responsible for it.
Justice should be done to all bareft of any ideological, religious, racial, ethenic, cast and creed. The whole scenario will be changed.

Timely Reminders

"Those who crusade, not for God in themselves, but against the devil in others, never succeed in making the world better, but leave it either as it was, or sometimes perceptibly worse than what it was, before the crusade began. By thinking primarily of evil we tend, however excellent our intentions, to create occasions for evil to manifest itself."
-- Aldous Huxley

"The only war that matters is the war against the imagination. All others are subsumed by it."
-- Diane DiPrima, "Rant", from Pieces of a Song.

"It is difficult
to get the news from poems
yet men die miserably every day
for lack
of what is found there"
-- William Carlos Williams, "Asphodel, That Greeny Flower"
