Heal Lebanon
Heal Lebanon is a not- for-profit charity that was established by a group of concerned pharmacists who aim to minimise the hardships and suffering of the Lebanese people caught up in the current war with Israel.
Heal Lebanon was formed to ensure that medical aid in the form of urgently needed medical supplies reaches Lebanon via the Lebanese Red Cross and Red Crescent organisation through safe, diplomatic channels. Antibiotics, antidiabetic drugs and other urgently needed drugs are being sent to Syria, which will then make their way to Lebanon via negotiated, diplomatic channels.
Heal Lebanon Incorporated is chaired by pharmacist Ziad Bazzi and was developed in response to cries for assistance in the form of medicines which have run out. Heal Lebanon membership is open to any concerned citizen in Australia and elsewhere in the world, committed to preventing major suffering caused by a lack of medical supplies aimed at treatable illnesses such as diabetes.
Donations can be made directly to any St George Bank Branch in Australia or the Bank of South Australia. Donations as little as $10, will be accepted. If you would prefer to donate electronically, please email us your contacts below and you will receive our bank account details.
At this time, given the urgency of this appeal, Heal Lebanon is working to secure tax deductible status for donations but given the ATO timeframe for processing, this will not be available for another month. We appeal to your generosity to donate regardless as there is a medical emergency unfolding at the current moment and we’ll keep you informed of the changes to this tax exempt status
