1.  These companies will not gladly bid farewell to their defense contracts.  They will be effective lobbyists for the retention of war and the expansion of the already gargantuan military.
2.  Elected officials, owning millions of dollars of investments in these companies, also have a personal financial interest in keeping the DOD growing.]]></description>
