		<description><![CDATA[I disagree that there&#039;s no outrage to be found anywhere-the Zogby poll of today would indicate that there is an undercurrent of anger that is building. 

Americans know we&#039;re in trouble, but no consensus has yet been reached on how to extricate us from it. I am heartened by the voices of Republicans who are leaving the reservation, especially those who are in Congress. The way Chimpy is going, it really won&#039;t be too much longer before 67 Senators will be ready to clean up the mess that our Government has become.]]></description>

I believe that Lendman&#8217;s frame of reference is a little narrow for my taste, but the article was more than worth the read for me and should be a real eye-opener to anyone who believes that America is somehow &#8220;the greatest country on Earth&#8221; (for any reason other than that he or she just wants it to be, that is.) As an American, I do believe that my people and my country have changed the face of the world for the better in some respects, for worse in others. I do believe that an enormous potential exists which is yet to be realized. [...]]]></description>
